A lovingly restored Greek mountain village south of the mountain of the gods... it wasn't our first time here... this time we stopped at the Taverna Thomas, at the backside of the church there was still plenty of space in a beautiful, original atmosphere. The food surprised with its authenticity and there was no lack of attention to detail. Very good wine, we were well served. The Restaurant is run by a local family. The best restaurant I've been to in Greece. This is a family business, the restaurant is located around the church in Paleos Pantaleimonas. Souvlaki, bouiurdi best I've ever eaten. Do not go to the touristic restaurants (its just quick and nothing more), go to the family ones - they do have time to feed you well and healthy!). It was my second time in this restaurant and I will be back:)

The Taverna has a beautiful setting, which is surrounding the outside of the church, with lovely flowers and bushes all throughout the outdoor seating area.

Great views, friendly staff and delicious food. Not sure why it has less reviews than others in the area, but we had a great lunch and the staff were very nice. Sat by the windows and had a wonderful view while we ate. Had halloumi to start and slow roasted pork, everything tasted great.

I recommend the Meat plater, and the salad what lovely, service size was very big for the money spent. I have uploaded photos of our finished food!

Very good quality meats and fresh vegetables. Small restaurant best visited in summer time. They have tables around the main church. You can have a very full meal for 20€ per person including drinks. Nice cold draft beer.

I give five stars for this place! In the middle of the paradise ! Great food,bread! The most tasty wine that I ever try! I can feel the home atmosphere in there! I love it! Probably my favourite place on the earth !

101Is this the same owners as the Taverna Thomas that used to be in Paralia Panteleimonos? The reason for asking is that I used to stay here with my family from England 15+ years ago. We are visiting in June and would love to say hello.
